Pastor Bill Godwin - Senior Pastor

Pastor Godwin, or Pastor Bill as we call him, is a very dedicated Christian with a warm, servant's heart.  He is committed to our programs, mission causes, denomination, leaders, and congregation.  He cares for each and every person in our fellowship, and his "door is always open" to you.
Pastor Bill has been an American Baptist pastor for over 35 years.  His education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Azusa Pacific University, and a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry, both from the American Baptist Seminary of the West.
His love of the Lord, and his great sense of humor, bring joy to those who know him.  He is an inspiring, motivating teammate in University Baptist Church's journey of "Seeking and Following Jesus."
 Dr. Godwin is married and has three sons and nine grandchildren.
Some interesting tidbits about our pastor are:  He enjoys Rock-n-Roll oldies; roots for the Dodgers, Lakers and USC; loves spending time with his grandchildren; and coaches our church' basketball, volleyball and softball teams.  His favorite Scripture is Matthew 6:10
