Men's Ministries

"Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your loving kindness, because of Your truth." (Psalm 115:1).

The Men's Ministry of University Baptist Church (UBC) exists to challenge men to live for God's glory and not their own. In these settings we seek to learn truth from the Scriptures, confess sin, and encourage faithfulness and purity in all our relationships. We also provide resources for individual study in areas like manhood and leadership, moral purity, and marriage/parenting.

The 1st Tuesday of the month at 8:00am, our men meet for breakfast at the Denny's at Monterey and Hwy. 111 in Palm Desert. First-timers get a free breakfast.

Men for God's Glory
We strengthen the congregation's love for God's glory by building up men who will model and mentor biblical priorities. We live in a culture where children, younger single men, couples whose marriage is in distress, and others long to see men who live for God's glory and not their own image, status, or hobbies. Practically, we seek to build up in the lives of men:
• Prayer: A response to God's truth
• Purity in thought-life and actions, thus faithfulness in relationships
• Proper biblical roles for men and women. This includes (1) an understanding of the combination of strength and humility, that "humility" is not a weakness, and (2) the role of sacrificial love and giving (in marriage, Ephesians 5:25, but also in broader terms of modeling biblical giving of time, labor, and finances to the cause of the gospel)
